Global Banking and Markets' Diversity and Inclusion Office

Scotiabank was the first bank in Canada to establish a Diversity and Inclusion Office under the Global Banking and Markets division in 2015, making diversity and inclusion a key business priority. The Office is led by individuals with significant capital markets experience and is supported by a Global Steering Committee chaired by Pruyn Haskins, Co-Head of Global Capital Markets. The committee is comprised of senior business leaders from across Global Banking and Markets globally.

 

 

Since its inception, the Office has expanded to include representation from the international regions in which Global Banking and Markets operates, including the U.S., Latin America, Europe, and Asia Pacific, each supported by its own regional Steering Committee. The Office is also supported by local ‘Champions of Change’ – high profile business leaders who have volunteered to raise awareness and model inclusive behaviour in the workplace, and countless volunteers who work tirelessly to build a more inclusive environment in the workplace as well as the communities where they live and work.
