Our history in Brazil

Scotiabank is proud to be the only Canadian financial institution operating with a full banking license in Brazil since October 2011. We started our activities in the early 1970's, with a representative office, providing trade finance and correspondent banking services through Scotiabank's global network.

We offer Brazilian clients a broad array of financial products and services, through local team expertise combined with the bank's global reach and strong credit ratings.
